2 Nephi Chapter 1 Verse 28

The words, blessings, and prophecies of Lehi to his posterity. Comprising chapters 1 to 4 inclusive.

Original Chapter 1. Comprising chapters 1 and 2.

And now my son, Laman, and also Lemuel and Sam, and also my sons who are the sons of Ishmael, behold, if ye will hearken unto the voice of Nephi ye shall not perish. And if ye will hearken unto him I leave unto you a blessing, yea, even my first blessing.

  1. In Royal Skousen’s “The Book of Mormon: The Earliest Text”, 2 Nephi 1:28 reads a little differently:

    And now my son Laman, and also Lemuel and Sam,
    and also my sons which are the sons of Ishmael,
    behold, if ye will hearken unto the voice of Nephi,
    ye shall not perish.
    And if ye will hearken unto him,
    I leave unto you a blessing, yea, even my first blessing.
