Mosiah 1:6

O my sons, I would that ye should remember

that these sayings are true,

and also that these records are true.

and behold, also the plates of Nephi,

which contain the records and the sayings of our fathers

from the time they left Jerusalem until now,

and they are true;

and we can know of their surety

because we have them before our eyes.

Mosiah 2:17

and behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom;

that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings

ye are only in the service of your God.

and behold also, if I, whom ye call your king,

who has spent his days in your service,

and yet has been in the service of God,

do merit any thanks from you,

O how you ought to thank your heavenly King!
