Helaman 3:13

And now there are many records kept

of the proceedings of this people, by many of this people,

which are particular and very large, concerning them.

Helaman 3:15

But behold, there are many books and many records of every kind,

and they have been kept chiefly by the Nephites.

Helaman 3:16

And they have been handed down from one generation to another by the Nephites,

even until they have fallen into transgression

and have been murdered, plundered, and hunted,

and driven forth, and slain,

and scattered upon the face of the earth,

and mixed with the Lamanites

until they are no more called the Nephites,

becoming wicked, and wild, and ferocious,

yea, even becoming Lamanites.

Helaman 5:5

For they remembered the words which their father Helaman spake unto them.

And these are the words which he spake:

Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember

that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer,

who is Christ, the Son of God,

that ye must build your foundation;

that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds,

yea, his shafts in the whirlwind,

yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you,

it shall have no power over you

to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo,

because of the rock upon which ye are built,

which is a sure foundation,

a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Helaman 5:13

And it came to pass that these were the words which Helaman taught to his sons;

yea, he did teach them many things which are not written,

and also many things which are written.
