2 Nephi 11:2

And now I, Nephi, write more of the words of Isaiah,

for my soul delighteth in his words.

For I will liken his words unto my people,

and I will send them forth unto all my children,

for he verily saw my Redeemer, even as I have seen him.



2 Nephi 11:4

Behold, my soul delighteth in proving unto my people

the truth of the coming of Christ;

for, for this end hath the law of Moses been given;

and all things which have been given of God

from the beginning of the world, unto man,

are the typifying of him.



2 Nephi 11:5

And also my soul delighteth in the covenants of the Lord

which he hath made to our fathers;

yea, my soul delighteth in his grace, and in his justice, and power, and mercy

in the great and eternal plan of deliverance from death.



2 Nephi 11:6

And my soul delighteth in proving unto my people

that save Christ should come all men must perish.



2 Nephi 11:7

For if there be no Christ there be no God;

and if there be no God we are not,

for there could have been no creation.

But there is a God, and he is Christ,

and he cometh in the fulness of his own time.

And it shall come to pass in the last days,

when the mountain of the Lord's house

shall be established in the top of the mountains,

and shall be exalted above the hills,

and all nations shall flow unto it.

and hearken unto soothsayers like the Philistines,

and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

for the fear of the Lord and the glory of his majesty shall smite thee.

and planted it with the choicest vine,

and built a tower in the midst of it,

and also made a wine-press therein;

and he looked that it should bring forth grapes,

and it brought forth wild grapes.

What could have been done more to my vineyard that I have not done in it?

Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes

it brought forth wild grapes.

Wo unto them that join house to house, till there can be no place,

that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

in mine ears, said the Lord of Hosts,

of a truth many houses shall be desolate,

and great and fair cities without inhabitant.

Wo unto them that rise up early in the morning,

that they may follow strong drink,

that continue until night, and wine inflame them!

And the harp, and the viol,

the tabret, and pipe, and wine are in their feasts;

but they regard not the work of the Lord,

neither consider the operation of his hands.

But the Lord of Hosts shall be exalted in judgment,

and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Wo unto the wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight!

Therefore, is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people,

and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them;

and the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets.

For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.



2 Nephi 15:30

And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea;

and if they look unto the land, behold, darkness and sorrow,

and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.
